I just saw one in the pet store and it's so ugly it's cute and I'd like one but I've never seen one before and I don't know anything about puffers. Are they freshwater, salt, aggressive, do they get along with mellow fish, what do they eat, are they carnivarous...? Anything...anyone?
Thank you

Puffdaddy's your member for help.

GSPs should be kept in fairly strong brackish water (about 1/2 as salty as seawater). They are quiet aggressive by the standards of most community fish and should only be kept with other species by people with extra tanks. The GSP can easily reach 6" in length and needs about 30 gallons per puffer due to being a messy and territorial fish. They are carnivores but should not be fed feeder fish, full stop. Healthy diets for GSPs are based around hard-shelled invertebrates such as snails, molluscs, and shrimp.
