My male swordtail has been trying to breed with my female for weeks and she still isn't showing, could she be infertile?

yes this is a possibility, sometimes this happens because of stress in the tank or some are just like that, maybe she is just taking a long time, or maybe he hasn't quite "got" her yet

okay thanks he seems to be more interested in her than my other female should I introduce some more?

Be careful calling a female swordtail infertile. A swordtail does not get nearly as big as a comparable sized molly or platy when she is carrying. It is easy to miss a gravid female swordtail.

just a few tips on breeding common livebearers; not all things about when they fry will come is true. my sailfin molly was eating her dinner like a pig about 8hours before the fry. that means that they dont always stop eating before the fry. she was a bit smaller than the last pic in "a molly's story from one dorp to the next"

If she is prgnant her belly is tiny compared to my last one she got huge, bigger than any on my mollies or guppies from previous experiences and thanks ill keep an eye on her
