Infected Tank

my Betta died of dropsy and now my 3G tank is infected with the virus and i need to know what to do to disinfect the tank

Dropsy isnt a disease, let alone specifically a virus .

It's just a symptom that has many root causes.

Without any info on what actually caused this to happen to the fish (almost always comes down to poor water conditions being a contributing factor though), I would advise strip everything down, scrub it and fill the tank with 3/4 water and 1/4 bleach with any ornaments in the tank.

24 hours later rinse everything under the tap and will the tank back up with everything inside and use loads of water conditioner (how much depends on what brand, but with decent concentrated ones like Prime,2-3 tablespoons will do). If in doubt, add the whole bottle.

Leave tha for a further 24 hours and that will get rid of the bleach completly.
