indoor pond and waterfall.

I am doing a total revamp of my bedroom in the coming months.

I have decided to add a water feature.
I have a nice tub for the base and I am makig a waterfall out of a cement type mixture and rocks.
I have a brim that will soon outgrow his tank, I'll prolly move him to the pond.

In the water fall I am going to add and assortment of plants.
Some duckweed in the pond,as well as a small lily.

Has anyone here done something like this?

Right now the hard part is making a pretty light for the set up.
I'd like it to be hidden if possible.

The brim is a wild caught from the local creek,buhaha...oh well.
I think im the only one that goes to this creek in order to learn about nature, ,most of the others are growing pot and stuff.Sigh.

Anyway, any comments are welcome on this project!
We need to use the pond forum more often guys,.

there could be a few problems with this set-up. if you have a waterfall in your bedroom, how will you manage to sleep?. also you will get extreem evaporation which could cause mould to grow. (a problem I had with my reef tank ) if you cn get round these problems, it should look pretty impressive. try looking into extractor fans etc.

I thought about the moisture problem, and deicided to use Kilz or a marine paint on my walls,ceiling and floors.Then I'll paint it whatever colour I find that suites.
I'll work out all the "bugs" before I install..thanks for the reply!

I know two people that have done this. One is my uncle, a biology teacher at a high school. He biult a rather large pond and waterfall in teh school cafiteria. And teh other biult a pond and water fall outside using copper for the water to fall out of. He had a pump to pump the water and he also placed lights inside teh water fall. It';s very hard to explain but it looks very nice. He also biult a semi-sound proof box around teh pump. And my uncle made his of cement with rocks like you. He just had lights all over, and he has liek streams and stuff in it to, with lots of water pumps, and filters it really great, even though its probably much to large to go into your room.. ...he has bobble eyed goldfish, and koi in there. But my friends is great to, with pond goldfish in his. Good luck,
