Okay, ive just realised Indis got whitespot! :( Ive removed the carbon/zeolite cartridges from my Stingray and im going to do a waterchange then dose him up.

Im really really gutted! Hes still so lively and STILL blowing bubbles, he came up to see me today and i could see abut 5/6 spots each side, im happy ive caught it early, hopefullly he wont get too bad! :(

Wish me luck :)

Dont worry too much as you say main thing is you have caught it early and there have been a lot of successful treatments of white spot noted on this forum recently. As funny as it sounds its not the most severe illness if caught early better this than something internal that you wouldnt have noticed until the last minute

Just a little update, if anyones intrested. Woke up this morning and half the spots are gone, the remaining ones are alot smaller and not really noticable, i could only see them when he came up to see me - He blew me about 8 bubbles when he came to see me! hahah

Hes loving the current from the filter, hes playing with it like a slide at a waterpark, fighting the current, coming down the side and across the back then back up and against the current!

Of couse ill keep treating - ive treated Ich alot of times before and all but one was successful (Black moor from some smelly little pet shop had whitespot when i got him, i didnt know nothing about the disease so i thought he was a reverse dalmation - how embarassing). No airstone in the tank, ill put one in if necessary.

shouldnt need an air stone as they dont take the air from the water :)

Increase the temp a little bit as well

I hate it when they get summin like that....

Hope he has a speedy recovery :)

It sucks that he got it. I'm sure you'll fix him up in no time though :)

I've seen Edward recovering from probably the worse case of Ich ever lol

Yep! had him 9 days now.. he is improving though, im gonna feed him now and make sure he hasnt gone off his food - another dose is due tomorrow night and hes looking quite good, he is active and the spots are disappearing.

Edit: He most certainly has not lost his appetite. Hes chasing his pellets around the surface! :)

:good: sounds as if you caught it in time. I have been away for 5 days, come back to my last rescue dead (not really surprised he was really ill just before I went) 2 of my old pks gone as well, and one goldfish floating in the pond. One of my vts in the kitchen has a sort of fuzz on him, just going to treat him. The bettas near me at the moment are not very good at all. oh well never mind....

Whoa! Sorry about your losses. Hope the VT recovers and good luck with him!

If he is still eating thats a great sign :) Ramjet had the worst case if Ich and also an internal bacteria and he ate through the whole treatment. Im doing the second last Ich treatment tonight. Im going to do it through the week and do a 30% water change next week and he should be sweet. If my lil boy can survive and pull through to make a healthy recovery then im sure your lil one can to :)

Indi has blown his biggest bubblenest yet! I could only see ones around the sides of the tank, but when i went to check on him theres a small one (but big for indi!) in the corner! Im so proud of him, hes still bubbling even though hes ill! Hes got about 4 spots all over him and another dose is due tonight at 8.
