So I got home after being on vacation for two weeks (my dad was taking care of my tank for me) and i noticed algae on the decor AGAIN even though I had cleaned it almost right before I left...then i realized that my filter is not making almost any movement on the surface of the water...and I think that's what is the main problem...I'm currently using a Top Fin 10 filter (because that's what came with the starter tank when I bought it at eleven years old). So since I am turning it into a sand and planted tank I figure I should probably upgrade the filter...does anyone know of an affordable but reliable filter for a ten gallon (or maybe I should buy a filter meant for a 20 gallon or something for a stronger flow?) that is in the US? I am going tomorrow I think so any quick advice would be appreciated!!!
