Imperator Angel - Color Morph Questions

I've read that in captivity, juvenile imperators don't fully morph into the vibrant colors of those caught as mature adults; they kinda start the color transformation, but never complete it. Is this well documented, or just a myth?

I have seen juveniles transform completely into adult form. It takes about 1 year - 18 months to complete.
