I want a Lorcarid shaped car, with a bristlehood. Cars all look the same these days. Give me one with black and white patterning, with spines and bristles.
BUT, my daughter has a bristlenose Ancistrus in her 20 gallon, and she is excellent on the water change front. He's become quite a character to watch, as he excavates, maintains his cave and stares down all visitors. Her friends either love him or say he's gross. There doesn't seem to be much middle ground.
If you decide to get one, I ask for one kindness. Please don't call them plecos, placos or pelcos...
