Getting two new boys next week! Been watching them on Ebay and finally gave in. Last ones, though - no more room!!!

These are the breeders pictures (since I don't have them yet - LOL).

Uncle Sam ('cuz he's red, white & blue) with a full belly:

Here is M.G. (for Mustard Gas - not very original, I know, but what the heck):

Thanks for the replies!!

Bad news, though - got this in my e-mail this morning about "Uncle Sam":

DO YOU WANT ME TO PICK THE OTHER FISH FOR YOU. I WILL PICK THE GOOD ONE FOR YOU.
TELL ME
SORRY ABOUT THIS AND THANK YOU

I'm pretty bummed right now! :( :( :(

Thank you. Yes, he was a beauty, but what are you going to do?

Hope this doesnt sound insensitive but i prefer the new one!

Thanks all!

"Hope this doesnt sound insensitive but i prefer the new one!"

Not at all!! To tell you the truth, I was debating between this one and Uncle Sam. You just don't see many bettas with that red, white & blue coloring - at least I don't -which is why I chose Uncle Sam in the first place. Lucky for me "Big Red" was still available!

"Gorgeous! Sorry about Uncle Sam - that's really awful. When do your new lovelies arrive? "

Yes, it is awful, but what are you going to do?

They should be here Thursday. I am busy, busy, busy getting their new homes ready!!!

What an awful thing to happen but at least you have another lovely boy on his way. Hope they both arrive safe and sound......the waiting is the worse bit

You got THAT right - I'm always on pins and needles while they are in transit!!!!

And once they DO get here I always send up a little prayer before I open the box - can't hurt!

Got 'em and they are LOVELY!!!! They are happily exploring their new homes as I type.

Will wait a few days for them to settle in then try to get some decent pics.

Awwww that's great news that they've arrived healthy and well :good: Bet you were up at the crack of dawn waiting

Look forward to seeing your pics of them once they've settled.
