i just went for my lunch break from work, and as usual i went in to the local chain store pet shop just before heading back.
They had a new shipment of bettas in!

they usally only stock veiltail bettas but right at the back was a butterfly crowntail, (i dont think they realised what he was) he was stunning!!! one of the prettiest bettas i have ever seen.

i ask what time they closed and she said 4.45pm and i dont finish till 6pm, i ask if she could hold him for me, but she said they could only do that for one hour.
I asked if i could buy him and pick him up tomorrow and she said no they cant do that either.

I couldnt buy him cause i cant take him back to work.

I'm going to try and leave for lunch early tomorrow and hopefully hes still there, so i can take him home.

Cross your fingers for me everyone??

good luck! i hope you can get him! its something rare. hopefully other people will only think its deformed or something and not buy him! :D

good luck hmm that shop sounds stupid, u asked if u could buy it and pick it up another time yet they wouldnt take the deal  i would, but i suppose they may forget which fish it is and may sell it to someone, hmm could someone give me a link to a website with all the different tail types, cause i only really kno crown tails and viel tails

i suppose, im just lucky the one i go to has a really keen boss or alse it would very well be just like another wallmart argh i hate it how the treat bettas sometimes

This gives you information about the different types of bettas.

hmm by the looks of it i think i either have a couple of comb tails or deltas, as soon as my blue bettas fins heal i will take a pic of him and show u to see what u think

YAY im glad an expierienced betta owner got him or alse im sure he would have been wasted in some little kids effort to get a pet  hope he lives a long healthy life, hmm btw are u planing on using him for breeding?
