Finally! :D

I went to get some critterkeepers for Bettas, AND they finally, after 9 months or so, had pepper Cories in when I was in! :hyper:

I got four. So now Rocky Balboa and Friend are in a shoal of six. The new guys are just about an inch and a 1/4 so Rocky and Friend are kinda parenting.

Hi jollysue :)

Awwww!

I'll bet he is so happy to see them. Got pictures?

Hi, Inchworm, I'm happy to hear from you.

 I'll try, but I find happy Cories incredibly hard to photograph. Well, sad and scared cories too!

The peppers are Very Happy. They are all busy, busy, busy day and night, swimming all over the tank. They have a little clearing they seem to call their own. Rocky and Friend used to spend time there, but mostly behind the large rock in the pic I posted before. Rocky and Friend But now they are out in the open swimming all around.

Friend is very round. It is almost certain no eggs would survive a spawn in the community tank, though--although I have seen a frog I never saw before and a sparkling guarami that seems very small to me.

The new peppers seem like they have grown in the day and a half since I've had them.

Did you see the pic of my new acquisition in Betta? The one titled "Bettas are good: Now with a Pixie" Here's a link:
Pixie

I tried to email you, but it was sent back :dunno:

I'll be back and around to visit now I'm not swimming in boxes and address changes. :hyper:

I got some shots of the Rocky, Friend, and friends shoal. My little peppers.

They are just darlin'. They have been dancing since Thursday afternoon, and it is Saturday night: over 48 hrs of joyful pahtay! :band: :kana: :drink:

Very nice. Im glad you were able to find some more. Peppered cories are very common around here, one of the few cories that are. I have a school of 4 of them and they are indeed fun to watch

:kewlpics:

Oh are those Botia straita, Barracuda? I got two baby straita and a Queen a few weeks ago. They were too tiny, and I was afraid to put them in the main tank. They will get moved next weekend. I will post thier pic tonight in the appropriate forum--about 20 hours from now.

My lfs calls the peppers "Spotted Cories". When I asked before they said they would need a classification name to get some. I got the last two from a batch last summer. This is the first time since, that I have seen them again. That doesn't mean I didn't miss a batch or two.

It is Sunday morning, and they are still dancing. They were dancing when I went to bed, and they are still at it.

Yep, those are B. Straita. I got them about a month and a half ago and they were also tiny. They have grown quite a bit. They can hold their own. I have seen them chase away my 5" Dojo several times when he started messing with them. I have 3 of them right now and they are always together. Ive got the LFS where I got them on the lookout for me some more.

I also got me some B. Dario (Queen loach) the other day:

I took that picture before I put them in a quaratine tank. I gotta make sure they get some food and gain some weight before they go in the main tank.

Oh, Nice! I haven't put my little Botia mix in the main tank, because I was afraid that the clown would run over them. They were soooo tiny when I got them. But I think they would be ok now, and the clown would like to see them, I think. The 10 usg they are in needs to be change to an African tank for the 8 baby s. petricola coming next Thursday.

Those Queens do look a little thin. So how many Botia do you have all together now?

Yeah, Im gonna make sure they arent thin for long. They already have had some big meals and have bigger stomachs B)

Right now I have just the Striata and Darios. But I also have Dojo's and a couple of Sand Tiger Loaches. I have a 55 gallon that Im trying to get going to put them in. I had some YoYo's, but something happened and they all died  Whatever hurt them didnt hurt the Striata, so I still havent figured it out :dunno:

Im going to get some more later, I just dont have the room right now.

What all loaches do you have?

Sorry for the wait. I sleep days, work nights. I went to bed. When Inchworm comes on tomorrow, hope she doesn't boot my thread to LL's forum for loaches.

I have I or two Clowns. I have only seen one at a time and very seldom. The 100 usg (originally got it for my clowns) suffered a prolonged bout of columnaris last summer. The last to die were clowns and a cockatoo boy--The Gent. I had 3 clowns then of 4 that I had purchased two at a time. After I moved I noticed that one of the two remaining clowns was washed out looking. I took him/her out and treated him for awhile. It seemed okay so I put it back. The two were delighted to see each other again.
But soon after I put the apistodave agassazis in they went underground and I don't know if there are 1 or 2.

So 1 or 2 three-four inch clown loaches, 2 straita, and 1 Queen.
