I'm Rethinking My Entire Stocking Plan Now...

Just my input on pygmy corys, i have a group of 16 pygmys and referring to your digging in the sand,my pygmys either hide under bogwood and when they do venture out they are normally swimming around mid level or hunting around on the plants/decor,not very often digging in the sand...

They to shoal together with themselves or with the harlequins, quite amusing to watch at times,so therefore having the 'bottom feeders' they might not necessarily do that compared to normal size corys....

That's a plan, but be careful to not plan too high a stock: when I last had a tank your size, I had only 15 mid-water schoolers instead of the 25 you plan. The tank was perfectly capable of taking the stock you propose, but I felt that it would have looked crowded with many more fish or more species.

I've got a lot of "mid-water" space for them to swim in... It's 24 inches high.

They do swim right to left, not top to bottom ;) but as it is, mine was that tall too.

I only mentioned how I felt about it as a caution to think about which species are most desired.

Thanks... I'm working on that currently... I'll be adding them one school at a time. (I'll probably start with two (rasboras and cories about 10 each) and then I will look to fill in after that. Thanks for the advice. :good:

(And yes, I know they swim side to side, but they do have different levels they can choose from. ;) )
