I'm new to this!

right then... i've just rang my lfs...she confirmed the name of the blue ones.... pseudotropheus socolofi.... i've done a quick seach but any info would be great!!

also i've measured the tank .... 31.5 x 16x 11.5 (inches)....

so...are the electric labs out then whether they are with the julidachromis or not????

plus... great info about the julidachromis... didnt realise i could keep them by themselves!!

I personally wouldn't keep labs in a 25 gallon since they get to be 4-5 in and are pretty active. 11" tall or wide? pseudotropheus socolofi are mbuna and you wouldn't want to keep them in a 25 gallon tank. I also believe that they get to be about 4-5 in too.

Which type of julidochromis do you have? Just go on the left side of this webpage and look for julidochromis and pull up each species. Or you might just know. :dunno:

pretty sure they are Julidochromis ornatus...only confusing bit is that i was told that the female should be the larger.... the guy picked me the biggest and the smallest to try and make sure it was a pair... guess it must be the other way round
