Depends on the type if she's going with low light though, some don't do good in it, gota be careful. :good:

alright thanks for that :good:well if she goes for a highish light source she would be ok to get an amazon sword what do you think atmmachine?its good for beginners?because it grows easyly and its hardy :good:

My amazon swords grow horribly in my 30g, but I have .66 wpg of light.

i have a tank like that and i keep my kribs in it and they grow fine :good: and the same lighting. sometimes my kribs go under the leaves to hide

So how should I place the plants? And how many will I need aproximatly for a ten gallon?

It all depends on the type of sword, there are many species. My grandpa had one and it was growing well in the same light I have, I buy a sword and it grows sssslllloooowwwwww. It's surviving but not thriving. Ya their good hardy plants, just helps to have higher light. :good:

It all depends on what type of plant you have and what type you want. Certain plants go in the back because they get high and some in the middle and front. Before you go picking out plants you need to decide on lighting and if your going to have ferts and co2.

I am not planing on co2 but I will be upgrading my lighting. So what exactly are the fertilizers? ( Like how do u use them and such.)
