Hi all. In naivete and arrogance I bought a male/female pair of Convict Ram Cichlids about 2 years ago. Well, you can guess what happenned. Im now on my 3rd generation of them, most died off but Im left with 4 of them - one large male and 3 either female or small male. Everything else has been harrassed to death with the exception of 1 large moonlight gourami and 2 sucking loach. I am loth to flush them down the toilet but I will if I cant find other species that will cohabit with them. My tank is large - 4ft by 12" by 12". Any ideas? PS Im in England.

Never, ever flush a fish. If you have too euthanise, then euthanise, but don't flush.

Personally, I don't know what you could keep with convicts. But if you want to give them their own 20 gallon tank to live, that would be ideal for them. Then you can restart the 4 foot tank with a great community setup.
