:S im a bit confused on what the ph and stuff should be for my water for breeding guppys and peppered corydoras(not in the same tank) and some help with what the tank setup should be like if you can help thanks :)

Well what size tanks do you have?
Guppys and peppered corys need a minimum of 10gallon tank each if you are keeping them separatly, guppys produce fry on a large scale and regular basis and can produce over 30 fry a month so you are going to need at least another 10gal tank to raise the fry in- guppys need a minimum of 2-3females per male(taking into consideration an extra female needs to be added for every extra male added to the group i.e 2males per 7females, or 3males per 10females) in mixed gender groups and you could have about 5guppys in a 10gal tank, so 1male and 3-4 females.
You need to cycle the tanks first(you should read up about cycling tanks in the pinned articles in the beginner section, i personally suggest you go for a fishless cycle) and you'll need a filter, heater and dechlorinator minimum and lighting if yo have live plants for the tank to work.
You can read more up on raising fry and breeding guppys in the pinned articles in the livebearer section which i also suggest you do  .

Peppered corys are reletavly easy to breed but you'll need a mature male and female minimum for it to work although corys need to be in groups of at least 3-4 as they do better in groups, females are more robust looking and square shaped while the males are smaller in size and more stream lined- it is also advised you have sand based substrate in the tank as sand does not damage the corys whiskers/barbels which can happen in gravel based tanks.

Before i go further, what do you already know about fish keeping? Do you know about ammonia, nitrates and nitrites, cycling tanks, dechlorinator and water changes?

Hi leedham :)

Welcome to the forum!

Unless your pH is extremely high or low, you should have no problems getting either peppered corys or guppies to breed. If they live happily in your local water, they will most likely breed in it too.

For more specific information, why not try asking in the Livebearers section for the guppies, and in the Catfish section for the corys. We have many members who will be happy to help you. :D
