Well I've been waiting for my Marineland Canister filter for over 9 days now (should have come 3 days ago!
)
Anyways after a recent 2 year break in the hobby, I decided I'm setting up an old tank of mine (20g. Long)
The Plan so far is this:
Tank: 20g. Long (30" X 12" X 12") (76cm X 30cm X 30cm)
Lighting: Coralife Aqualight w/65 Watt 6700k Compact Fluorescent
Substrate: 40lbs Eco-Complete
Filter: Marineland Canister Filter (C-160)
CO2 system: Nutrafin CO2 system w/DIY mix
Heater: 100watt heater
All I am waiting for is the filter and then I will begin the cycling process. In the mean time I am trying to come up with an aquascape design for my tank. So far not exactly sure about what plants I will use but I am pretty positive that I will have one large piece of driftwood or some large rocks in the center with a carpeting plant around it (I'm thinking Glossostigma elatinoides). I will then put Java Fern and Anubias nana in the driftwood (or rocks), then some background plants along the back of the tank (perhaps some Cabomba and/or some Rotala Magenta and Indica).
So far thats what I'm thinking and hopefully it will end up looking as good as it looks in my head.
I hope to get some pictures up of the set up process here soon.
Until next time,
Dave
