hi again. im back in livebearers and hav decided 2 get (back) into GUPPIES. as most of u kno, i hav a 'special' male guppy named Dylan(NOTE: i used special cuz i like 2 use nice words that wont hurt my guppies feelings  ) that has been lonley 4 quite some time and now ive decided to breed livebearers (yay) but mostly guppies. i say livebearers instead of plain guppies cuz i hav a pregnant mosquito fish (double yay). so heres where u guys come in: i want u to show me pics of ur prettiest girl guppies so i could find an idea of kinds of guppies to buy and breed with Dylan. he looks like this (BTW this isnt my pic of him, he looks like this but instead of that orange in his tail his is yellow and his body is mostly white):

A few of my past girls, all home bred by myself or my sister, we no longer have them but have fry/juvi's from them.

it is indeed a neon tetra, at the time i had a mixed shoal of neons and cardinals it looked stunning

i read on some site that beginner guppy breeders shouldnt mix different types of guppies. is this true? -heart  , ally86ozzy

pure breed guppies are harder to find and are more expensive, and it isn't reccomended that you cross pure fish or you would break the line

To tell a neon from a cardinal look at the red line. If it goes only about half the fish length it is a neon. If it goes full length it's a cardinal.
