Only I have already been posting around the boards, before I found the newbie board!

I started my tank last September, a life long ambition finally realised..... at age 39!!!

As with most newbies, I have learnt a lot the hard way and, discovered that I have more patience than I thought I possessed! My hubby is impressed that I have devoted myself to my little fishy friends, he thought I would get bored very quickly, but he was wrong. I have kept up my fortnightly cleaning regime, water changes 20%, cleaning the ornaments about once every 6 weeks, trimming my plants and rinsing the filter monthly....yes in tank water!

Trouble is, I want more fish, more tanks and have no more room.

Oh and my cats love the tank..... its CAT TV.

Thanks!!

I have an interesting question for you, prompted cos of your tag......death by dying.....

I bought two coloured widow and was horrified to learn they are artificially dyed to produce their wonderful colouring. One is pink, the other blue. The man I spoke to (not my lfs) said I would be lucky if they lasted 3 months...... that was back in October and they are still going strong..... why are they not dead yet?????????

:hi: to the forums!!!

If you keep them in good conditions, they will live for quite long. But nonetheless, many fishes die from the stress of dyeing. And also, their lives would be shorterned.

P.T.
