Hi, i'm cuddlykit261, or just cuddlykit. I have always loved tropical fish and have a small collection of small easy to look after fish. The usual angel fish, balloon mollies (who wont stop breeding hence the angel fish), a few catfish usually unusual albino types and a couple of sharks. my baby daughter has one Lobster. It's because of him I found this forum. He ate his brother a few months back and we had to seperate him into his own tank as blood worm and the special algea food just wasn't enough and he hates prawns and shrimp (think he's spoilt). He decided my mollies were more tasty, oh and my daughters apple snails. He spent almost 3 months in the tank without eating any fish then one morning I found a molly floating around with his stomach missing. I knew it would happen, it's his nature. It was fine for him to eat my fish, but when he started eating her snails, ( if anyone here likes spongebob you might understand her affection for snails, lobster's, crabs and sponge LOL) she has decided he has to go  . What do I do with a hungry Lobster? And is it fair to let him go just because she's cross with him. Well, more than cross. Since he ate Gary she has had no interest in him what so ever. I have taken to looking after him but I just cant do it anymore. I already have enough on my plate with 4 daughters, 2 rabbits, 2 cats, a tortoise, my fish, their fish, a bearded dragon and a hamster and 3 dogs. The poor lobster is sat all alone in his cave watcing the world go by in a tank which belongs to my eldest daughters turtle. She's not happy because her turtle is in my tank instead and wants it back. You would have thought that a lobster sat alone in it's tank would be the easiest pet to look after but it is now getting neglected and I forget to clean his tank as mine takes all day to clean. Iv'e tried getting her interested in him again but she just goes back to her snails. She just wont forgive him. (she's 6 by the way) We told her this could happen long before we bought it but she wanted him for so long. She forgave him for eating his brother and she did take good care of him. He's roughly 6mnths old now. He wasn't just a whim buy. I think he may have to go to a better home. Anyway, ramble stopping, just wanted to say hi really.

Wow sorry to hear about the lobster issue.. I would take it in if it was possible since I have actually been considering getting one for my 60 gallon since all my fish are 3 inches or bigger :)

None of the petstores around me sell them anymore though go figures!

I had one her age too with a bunch of goldfish. I got mad at it just her like except we didnt have other tanks so I was forced to deal with it. I actually ended up breeding them for a while what a nightmare! I'm assuming the babies got eaten though because we only saw them as eggs.

But anyway welcome to the forum! :)
