Hey all. I wanted to no if anyone can help me with this problemo. My water is ALWAYS yellow! It sucks. I clean it regualarly but it goes yellow anyway. I've been told to boil my drift wood but while the wood was out of the tank it still turned yellow! HELP!

:hi: to the forum. :D How long have you had your tank up and running? Is it a large piece of wood. When the wood leaks tannins into the water you can cut down on the amount of yellow with making your water changes more frequent. The yellow color does diminish with time usually and some fish really prefer the tainted water.

:D I had that problem 8 years ago, hehe Does your filter has carbon? Do you have a filter at all? Anyway Welcome to the forum

B) Its cool. I replaced it with two rocks. They were all sandy and made my tank orange tho :p I cleared it up and my bristlenoses and corys seem to like them. Also, do you have to have a light on 24-7 to keep live plants?

No, if you leave the lights on 24-7 you will get algea and your plants will suffer because there are things that your plants do when it is dark that is important to their health. Just the normal 12 or 10 hour day for light should be just fine. :D
