Over the last week I have noticed that my neon tetra isn't eating or hanging around with my other 2 neons. He has also very discoloured skin, where he is no where near as brightly coloured as my other 2 neons. He will occasionally school with the others, but tends to stay in the corner amongst a plant. I left him thinking ge may get better, but now he seems more lathargic and I'm worried as he is not eating. Any idea what this is or if there is anyway I can treat it? Thanks

Sounds like neon tetra disease. There is no known cure for it thus far but when a tetra is away from the school and begins to shows the signs you described it means it is sick and the school does not want to school with it any longer. Stronger healthier fishes in general do not school with unhealthy fishes. Sometimes it may not be neon tetra disease and may in fact be a bacteria disease. I recommend you quarantine the sick fish and see if it gets any better. As for what to treat it with i have always used pimafix and melafix in my quarantine tanks and have never gotten such a serious disease to use something else. But observe closely and try to see if its any particular disease.
