One of my Kribensis cichlids looks really pale she is pretty lifeless and is hanging near the top of the water. She has just had her second lot of fry which I just left to thier own devices in the tank and I think only one is left. I did a 25% water change at the weekend. My male and all other fish are fine. She has never sttoped eating and has fed tonight.

Any ideas what the problems are. The tank is a mature tank and the water quaity is fine.

Check water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph first to make sure it's not water quality, is she laboured breathing.

Check signs for flicking and rubbing on objects, how old is the fish.

Any fish stressing her out.

I would issolate her she dosn't sound good, i would increase aeration.

She isn't really doing very much no flicking just kind of looks misrible at the top she is a young krib only about an 2 inch and a half long. The kribs are the only things that do any terrorising. There are only black widows and congo tetras bigger than them and neither cause any trouble. I don't have any where to isolate her two. Nothing else is showing signs of being ill.

She might be just stressed and worn out with the fry, just keep a close eye on her.
