Ill Fish

I would take the shark back to the lfs as the tanks to small for him. What type of shark is it.
I wouldn't add any new fish yet with losing one.

I don't know its only small about an inch and a half.

What colour is the shark.

Bad advice from the lfs.
Bala sharks need 100 gallon tanks and shouldn't be kept in less than a group of 3 as they are shoaling fish.

Research the fish before you buy. Adult size. Size of tank. If compatiable with the fish you keep.
Not all lfs tell the truth so better off doing your own research.

Did they know your tank size when selling it. If not they should ask when you are buying fish.
The cut on the fin does it look infected. Or does it look liike a slit in the fin. Like someone nip it with scissors.

Where is the cut on the fish and does it look infected.

No they didn't ask. To be honest i don't think the woman knew because she has alkaways told me before about things like how big they get and if they can live together and so on.
No it doesn't look infected its just the fin has been ripped about two thirds of the way across.

They might take it back if there no white or red edging to the fin.

Thanks what should i say and should i phone first?
Just thought what if it did have popeye or still does?

I would phone first and just hope they take it back.
They don't like it on there own. They have to be kept in group and need large tanks.

What should i say on the phone i feel stupid doing this. Ive had it for ages aswell. Is there and thing else i can do with it(apart from getting a bigger tank)?

You could advertise in a local fish paper or just phone around some lfs.
You might have to give it away for nothing.
If you do find a home for him make sure the tanks big enough for him.
