worried crab - i have had my red claw crab in my 260 litre aquarium for nearly a week and over the past few days have been introducing fish. he seems to be worried and i thought it would be the other way round and he doesnt venture into the water anymore for more than a few seconds, he just stays on the filter and on the bogwood sticking out of the water. he does not seem to be eating anything. is this just him needing to get use to the fish
help gratefull thanks

Crabs shouldn't really go with fish anyway. Are you sure the water is suited to the crabs needs, some are brackish. Ask the inverts forum.

Sorry to hear your crab isn't doing well (best ask inverts section) but in the mean time, do you fish and your crab a favour and not keep them together :/

You could always get a little 2-3 gallon jar/bowl to put him in. I had a blue crawdad (he now is at my mom's house) in a 2 gal. hex tank with gravel in the bottom and an airstone. We just pour him into a big cup and change his water/rinse his gravel. Add a little dechlorinator to the fresh water, pour him back in. We feed him floating goldfish food. He's been alive for over 5 years, so he's pretty happy. Anyway, if you can find a way to keep him, they are awesome animals. Just don't keep him with fish... he'll eat them.
Good luck!
