plus i'm getting the tank, heater, powerhead, air pump, filter, canopy, light, python, gravel, decorations, nets, several types of food, full testing kit (thats worth $89.99), 4 extra bulbs (for the light) breeding net, extra heater, several different meds and water treatments, different types of algae removing sponges, salt and more that i haven't yet figured out

Bottom line Point, - Good for you!!!

There's a common reason we all meld here. I recently put a tank in my office at work. It's to take the madness away and to put into perspective, that which is important. It's not about fish - it's about realization that we are all "things" that need each other. Nothing wrong with that. When you think YOU have problems, you'll turn to them and realize "it ain't so bad". (Not that they have worse! How many of us wish we could jump in there with them? but then..how do we know?)

Good luck with your tank! I went thru about 5 changes of my 55 Gall. - and I hope I will continue to 'evolve'. You'll have many years of BIG FUN ahead of you. Enjoy!
