Well, about a week ago I was cleaning my gravel and I moved my ceramic pot in the aquarium a bit to get under it and the like then went about my buisness. Lately I noticed that there may be a large amount of organics in my water so I thought I would check it out. I did a fish count and couldn't find one of my hillstream loaches (the ones commonly sold as butterfly plecs.). This didn't seem odd as they blend in really well. I started looking around and found a hillside loach under a pot with pieces of gravel imbedded in its side. It seems as though when I shifted the pot he didn't swim away and got stuck. So a word oof advise... look before you clean.
