Yes I noticed germ and I edited my post, but thanks.
Whats that; The dwarf neon rainbow?

No, thats a Boeseman's rainbow, Melanotaenia boesemani. This is what it sounds like, although they are usually more orange than the one in the pic.

just to let you all know, i finally found out what the fish was - its an unusual flame angel fish - the blue which is suppost to just be on the back fins is actually quite far up the bottom of the body

its gorgeous but decided to get a albino oscar and tinfoil barb to begin my collection again - i doubt this fish can be added with these two fiesty fish lol

Hope you have a big tank. That oscar alone needs a 75 not to mention the tinfoil barbs which need to be kept in groups that get 12+ inches. If you do then great, if not you might want to rehome them soon.

Edit-spelling

yip - thats the same one which i saw as in your picture only the blue section is spread over his lower body - looks absolutely lovely but i know more about oscars and barbs so i thought i would stick to them for now and set up my second aquarium later on with maybe a couple of those.

i have had oscars in the past - i have an 85 gallon, and used to have 3 plecos which reached 12 inches at one point as well as a couple of black sharks.

there was an ammonia spike incident a few weeks ago and sadly they all passed away :(
I have been having a lot of help from a local aquarium about stocking it up - i threw everything i could out, replaced the yukky gravel that i had before and replaced with lovely coral stone and coral sand :D looks funky!

The tanks matured now and all levels are perfect - will be carrying out daily waterchanges like the aquarium advised to ensure that the new recruits are safe and keep the levels down for now :D

my friends had tinfoil barbs so i know how big they can get - both of them are very small - say about 1-2 inches so they will both grow well together :)

they both look so happy together, they keep swimming about together and seem quite active :)

lets hope this is a happy family again :( my old ones will be missed

that angel fish is saltwater lol. i dont think he would live 2 long in a freshwater oscar tank.

rofl that is y nobody could identify it lol its saltwater.

haha everyone was throwing anything freshwater that came up. unless you're going marine metalcherry, all you can do now is continue looking at it at the shop
