Hi,

I'm not too great with cichlids but at first glance i would say they look like keyhole cichlids. have a look in the fish index to confirm.

I'd guess its some sort of Central Amercian cichlid, but I don't know.
Looks like some kind of ram.

I think they might be bolivan rams, hard to tell from that picture but check out this linkBolivan Rams If they are bolivan rams they are central american cichlids not african.

Ya they seem like bolivian rams. Not only that but i know bolivian rams - when kept under stress dont have alot of color. Take good care of them let them change there color (since they were in the lfs they might have been under stress - therefore resulting in the blackish color)
Tell me wat happens if u ID'ed them. I would seperate either the rams or the gouramies if it is getting serious.

What size tank do you have? What other fish are in there? What kind of gourami do you have (post a pic if you don't know)?

The tank is a 125 ltr Juwel Rio. There are 2 (I guess RAMs - not sure which) and 1 female Gourami. The RAMs are growing very quickly and nibbing at the Gourami which is causing the fish (amd myself) stress !

Cheers and have a good New Year everyone

What kind of gourami? It may be best to seperate them.
