Identification Of My Favourite Cichlid

Hey everyone - I have had a 65 Gallon Cichlid tank set for quite a while and I have had this Cichlid in since the beggining - I was given him when he was very small by my brother-in-law and I never thought to check for the name of it!

 
He is in a tank with some Convict Cichlids, A synodontis and a bristlenose: I would love an identification

What a stunner! I don't know diddly on cichlids but it reminds me of a synspilum.
This is only a guess since like I said I am pretty clueless. Hopefully someone with more experience comes along soon, just wanted you to have a response in the mean time.

Very nice never kept these myself but looks like a Vieja Synspilum (also common names of quetzal cichlid, redhead cichlid or fire head cichlid )

Thanks for the information and it is nice to know that it id a nice fish xD - are these fish in anyway rare/less common because I never see them in my LFS.
