anyone know of a small semi-aquatic animal that would be fine in a 5 gallon aquarium. it would be planted, and would probaly have about 2 or 3 gallons of water, the rest would be land. also if you could list the feeding requiremnts and care i would be really greatful. thanks.
also how coould i make a small waterfall one here that is also a filter? i have a 6.6 gallon filter right now, and i don't know what to do with it as it is in my 20 gallon tank now.

EDIT: i will put a couple of tadpoles in there. it is about 2 gallons of water. i has probaly about a 6in by 4 inch slab of land that is just rock as when the tadpoles are frogs i will release them since they will be wild. in the water there is some java moss. anacharis, crypt wendtii, and dwarf hiargrass. will they eat they plants, etc.?

are you in the uk, i think there are laws regarding frog spawn and tadpoles being kept in captivity

USA, the tadpoles are cane toad tadpoles wich are an invasive species, so i will be fine, but thanks for you concern
