This is my tank as it currently stands. It was re-scaped a few weeks ago - since then the crypts have melted a little and grown back a little and a black 'background' has been added (they're not actually backgrounds but document files which I found and decided they'd come in handy).

Sorry its the wrong way around - for some reason it's decided to undo the 'rotate' I just did

Any thoughts on my tank or ideas to improve it? I originally planned to have some glosso in front of the wood, but I'm not sure any more. I also originally wanted a stem plant to go behind the anubias, but didn't find one so went for the echinodoras instead - but will it look right once its grown in a bit?

Thanks :)

hi!:) personally I would add something tall in there...in the back left behind all the plants maybe? Possibly a tall piece of wood or some tall plants...or both perhaps? I like to have height in my tanks so that it's not just all flat and level... :)

P.s...i love moss balls...theyre so much fun! :)

Edit: and also I mint move the scape to the left side to hide the heater and filter :good:

Thanks for your comments :) The hope was that the java fern would grow to hide the filter/heater a bit more and the echinodoras to fill the back corner. I'm not sure the echinodoras will look quite right there though. Have you any ideas for other plants? Thanks ;)

It looks really good already! :good: What I would add is a coconut cave at the front right. Bettas like to hide and a small cave would be ideal. If you want to have a go at making your own, have a look at this

Thanks :) I'll think about the cave idea, I've seen some recently in a store not too far from me too :good:

I think a moss wall would look really nice in there, great looking tank

Thanks, a moss wall has gone through my mind before. Shall have to think about doing that sometime.

What about some vallis behind the anubias + in the background? Too much? Any other 'background' plant ideas? I'm not sure if the echinodoras will be right in here (though that's fine as I've a place for it elsewhere ;))
