Ok, if you take a look at my signiture beneath my post, you'll see my set up.

Its been like that now for just over three weeks. Amazingly the three male gourami get along fine and there seems to be no problems with any of the fish at all. I did read, however, that the Torpedo Barbs like to be in a shoal of at least four. (Maidenhead Aquatics failed with the advice of "two is fine"?)
I hope to upgrade within six months. I'll probably get the Rio 400 or similar. I hope also to run only on an external filter.
I will be putting all what I have in to the new tank. Aside from gettin two new Torpedo's, what would you get? I reckon I'll have room enough for anothe two fish. What would you get? And, plants, What would you add?

Cheers in advance for any comments.

One more thing, you people who've commented on my previous post's have been increadably helpful. You are making this hobby far easier and far more enjoyable. Thankyou.

Sounds to me like you have room for quite a bit more already

Yeah they're much better than Neons, my neons disappeared and died as soon as I got them, but my black neons are very healthy and active.

Luketendo, did you ever consider they disappeard because possibly your tank was'nt mature enough? Or maybe you bought a bad batch.

Yes i do agree black neons are rather cool although betwen them an normal neons i personally prefer normal neons

Hmm in a 66gallon tank it seems asthough you still have a fair bit of room left, I'd recommend boosting the number of torpedo barbs to say 8, and the neons and glowlights to 10 each, then go from there.

All shoaling fish are healthier, more active and most importantly more attractive when they're in a large group. In the wild being safe means being in an extremly large group, since your tank is no where as big as the wild, why not try to simulate the natural enviroment and have them think they're in the wild?

As for plants, I've personally had plenty of luck with Cabomba, my neons and glowlights LOVE to hide in it, they come darting out from all directions when it's feeding time :) Also, things such as Java fern and Java moss would be nice if you can get your hands on them, mabye even some Amazon Swords.
