hoping to go to the lLFS this sfternoon and get some more fish for my 35 gallon aquarium but a bit stuck on what to go for??
At the moment there is in there:
4 Neon tetras
4 Danios (2 zebra and 2 leopard)
5 Harlaquin Rasboras
3 corydoras ( 1 Bronze, 1 Albino and 1 Peppered)
10 Guppies(cobras,neon blue and orange?)
1 Small clown loach(2inch) Bloody snail eater and doing a great job!

any ideas what to go for next? I like colourful fish and thought about an angel but not sure if they may be too aggresive for a community aquarium?

help

i'd get 2 more neon tetras and 2 more harlequins, bigger groups look more impressive of both fish, and they'll feel more confident swimming around the tank.

i'm trying to work out how stocked you are at the moment but my brain isn't working today

you're too stocked for an angel though, and an angel would make short work of your neons too.

I'd be careful about adding many more types of fish, the tank looks pretty full to me already.
An Angel is probably not the way to go, they're lovely fish but have a reputation for getting aggressive as they age and your neons would likely become breakfast.
Are you aware that your clown loach will get far too big for your tank ? You might want to read up on them in the Species Index, they can grow to 12 inches in length in the right conditions, and prefer to be in groups of 4+.
I would suggest that if you want more fish you add a few more neons to the shoal 6-8 is a better number to keep them happy. Corys are happier in larger groups too, but they may be ok with just the 3.

Ok Thanks, I was also thinking of moving the danios into another aquarium as i am led to believe that they shoukld be fine with my saimese fighting fish?

I also do a 25% weekly water change and gravel clean

Don't know if this is strange but the clownloach seem to be schoaling with the cory's and they all seem to be happy.

Oh yeah, I didn't see that you had cories. *Headdesk* My bad, sorry! XP Cories and clown loaches get on fine. ^_^

I think angel fish might eat tetras, though...

yeak i realise that now cheers.

might pass on this afternoons trip out then

Thanks for the help

I'll keep thinkin or maybe get yet another aquarium

Maybe, maybe not. It's one of those unpredictable combos. I did see a poor betta in the danio tank at the lfs last year, and the danios were basically pecking it to bits.

What about a few more cories. they like to be in bigger groups so I would build up one of the types you have. Just increased my group to 5 and they look great hanging out together.

Thats what i did got another bronze corydora, yesterday. Today had a major cock up did a 5 gallon water change and went to take the internal filter out for a spring clean and all the crap in there went straight back into to aquarium  i take it the best thing to do is leave it till tomorrow and do a gravel vacuum and clean the filter in the aquarium water again to remove the rubush again???
