Can anyone suggest an external filter for a 200ltr fluval fishtank,
also suggestions for an extra external for a aquaone 980,
thanks,

I`ve just bought a Fluval 205 myself and feel that it`s maybe not quite man enough for my 180ltr tank. It may just be me though as I did have 2 Fluval Plus internal filters in the tank before. :S

I`ve managed to get a second hand Fluval 305 for next to nothing so will try that. If the 305 works better I`ll keep that, if there`s not much difference then I`ll just go back to the new 205 and sell the 305 on.

There are quite a few people who have the Fluval 205 or 305 and are very happy with them, others will swear by Eheim filters though. (sp?).

The 305 would be a better choice long term for a tank of that size imo.

You could also look at Eheim as suggested or All Pond Solutions

The 305 definitely works better! I attached the 305 yesterday morning and the water is much clearer now. The flow seems to much better from the spray bar too so I would have to agree with PDSimon that the 305 is better for the size of your tank.
