The best description that I have found on Ich is linked in my signature area under the heading of Ich Info. It is a site where the author has taken the time to fully describe the ich parasite's life cycle and then goes on to suggest treatment methods. It is the site I found when I had an ich infestation in my female betta sorority and worked better than any patent medicine approach I had tried last time I was in the hobby. My malachite green and methylene blue treatments from the past did not do nearly as well as the simple salt treatment that is laid out in that article. Please read and understand that article and you will become another "expert" on the subject the self same way that I did.

ok i looked at the article on ich info

and from what i understand i sgould do this:

1 raise the heat up to around 29 as you said

2 my tank is 15 gallons so i should put in it 15 teaspoons ( it said level what does that mean? i think i know but i dont knw how to explain it ) of table salt in the tank

is that it?

and do 25% water change if i see the fish stresed

A level teaspoons are just that. You use the teaspoon measuring spoon and scrape the salt off flat with the top of the spoon, you don't allow it to be mounded up in the spoon. A tablespoon measure is 3 teaspoons so that should save you some time measuring.

the male swortail died last night and the female died this morning

so i only have th eguppy left but i think he has it now to cause he is going up and down the glass

should i start treating the tank ?
