Ich Survival

I had ick in my 40gal freshwater tank. I lost all  my fish. My question is can ick live without water? I have cleaned it and letting it set dry for a few days before starting it up again. Just not sure how long without water the ick can live. Does anyone know?? Please help

Ich can't survive without a host. Let alone without water. I think 3 days? Its been discussed in several posts on here.
You might wait a week, just in case.

A week should certainly be long enough.

If you want to be doubly sure, give the tank an any equipment a soak in some really strong salt water solution. Ich cannot live at all in very high salinity.

Don't forget you'll have to cycle the tank again if it's been empty or dry.
