Yeah but I don't want to go to the trouble to get rid of 7 or so "iffy" looking fish. Charlie I'm keeping for sure, I'll just divide my 5 gallon and plop him in there with Lucifer, my other betta. But the other ones gotta go. If nobody wants them I don't know what to do.

I have no experience with a divided tank.

However, correct me if I am wrong. All this does is keep fish apart they still share the same water correct .

So if charlie has been in tank with ick infestation, he may be immuned but he may still infect your 5 gallon, and since lucifer never had ick.............

Are you listening , just because he actually never had ick. He can still introduce it to your 5 gallon Because he has been exposed to it
