I just finished stocking my 80 gallon, and now have an ich problem. The dots are covering the fish almost totaly and the fish are acting very lazy, but are still eating. I have turned off all chemical filtration and have been dosing the tank with rid ich and a liquid antibiotic designed to be used together. I usually hate to use medications on my tanks but i am now desperate. I just went out and bought a large UV sterilizer as my other ones are currently being used. Am i doing this right? I have been in the hobby 9 years and have never had an outbreak like this. Any further advice would be greatly appreciated.

Fish include:
1 longnose butterfly
1 bluethroat trigger
1 coral beauty angel
1 hawaiin puffer
1 Heniochus butterfly
1 Algae blenny
1 hippo tang
1- 3" koran angel(temporary until sold to my lfs)
4 assorted fish under 2 inches

Invertebrates:
1 cleaner shrimp
1 general star
1 purple urchin
1 pencil urchin
3 very large turbo snails
20 blue leg hermits

Filtration:
1 magnum 350 canister filter
1 eheim canister filter designed for tanks up to 100 (US)gallons
1 fluval 305
1 fluidized bed
1 red sea prizm skimmer

Your stocking level is a tad heavy. The ich outbreaks my tanks had all seemed to stop or at least slow right down after most of the fish were dead. It could have been a coincidence, but who knows?

Otherwise, the medicine you have added should help. Another option would be to rearrange or remove your rocks and caves; Cryptocaryon needs these in order to catch up with it's diurnal victims.
