:flex: I posted a question approximately one half hour ago and although 10 people viewed it, no one responded. Perhaps I should pose it another way???
Do catfish require a very strict/very constant Ph? Would adding Stresscoat to the water have killed these catfish? Do catfish have a problem getting caught in/on filters? Anyone have any ideas why all the guppies apparently seem fine and three catfish died seemingly all at once after doing a 1/2 tank water change?Again, thanks for your help.

Maybe the people that viewed it didnot know the answer
Although this is the emergancy section, waiting an hour (or more)
for a reply is not really that long.

Would you rather have the right advise or lots of replys saying I don't know! ?

As for me I have no experince with catfish so I can't help.

What species of catfish are we talking about? There are several thousand catfish species all with different needs.

All fish should be kept at a constant pH but some are hardier and deal with unstable pH better than others, ie guppies.

Why is your pH unstable and what are the other parameters of the water?

:) i agree that the water needs to be tested. can you test for nitrite, nitrate, ammonia and ph.
