I Was Bitten By The Betta Bug

im not going to lie

i have been bitten by the betta bug

betta's are so cool, i walked into wal-mart last night and almost bought like 5

i saw the most beautiful one, it was orangish body, with white tips all around the top of the fins

it reminded me of a goldfish

im going in tommorrow to get him *he's been their for 1 week now*

i went out last night and bought all the stuff

i have a betta and love it to death and have always thought about breeding them but i would like to get a few males and a few females first

Congrats i had the same problem, went into a shop for guppies come out with everything for a betta
now i have 1/2

Uh-oh, that's exactly how it started for me. I walked into Wal-Mart to pick one out, took like an hour to choose one, and then came back the next day for two more.

Consider setting up a 10-gallon tank for female bettas. You can put 6-7 females in in, and it's easier to maintain than 6 individual tanks, plus it looks great and it's so much fun to watch them chase each other around.

Ditto on the Aquabid thing. If you're brave enough to check out the bettas there, it's only a matter of time before you'll be paying small fortunes to import fish that you just can't resist... Unless you don't have the money, which is a good thing. Believe me.
