i dont know what to say, i couldnt read your text, but it looks pretty awesome/trippy lol

lol thanks.

well that all seems fine to me. but im no expert. im goin to be buying a new filter for my ten gal, which will probably be a whisper, ive heard good and bad about it, but mostly good.

you dont really need to upgrade anything, since its built in u just need new filter and heater for that sized tank. everything else should be fine, unless u need more gravel or something lol

I'm afraid with the fish you have, you will be pretty much stocked when you add them to the 12.5G.
You may get away with adding a couple more Minnows but that would be about it.
Also, Bettas are best kept in tanks on their own so maybe you could keep one in your 5G once it becomes free.

Don't see why not :good:.

Materials for cycling the new tanks filter, see here. If your current tank already has a filter, then you could boost the speed of the cycle using some of the filter media, or possibly 'clone' the tank.

Really whatever brand of internal filter is readily available where you live :good: . The bigger the filter, the better, buying one that's rated for a tank larger than your is a good idea as long as the current isn't too strong. A fluval 2+ for example would be a great filter for your tank, you can turn the flow down on it too.

IMO I think she would be much better off with the male guppies than minnows :).
Rosy reds can get over twice the size of male guppies, are messier fish relative to size to begin with, and just like goldfish they produce more waste as their metabolism speeds up when kept at tropical temperatures :good:. Once the tank is mature and has bee running fine with your current fish for at least a month a month I see no reason why you couldn't add a couple of male guppies.

A male betta is not completely out of the question, but as stang1 not at all a safe bet and I would personally leave it out.
Have you considered a female betta instead? I personally think one or two of them would be better suited than the guppies :).
