My Beautifull Planted tank :(
I had to move my fish into it due to setting up a new tank and Last night my catfish decided to Start digging in random spots,
raising all my Eco complete substrate and messing my tank aswell as uprooting some plants.

Any way to discourage him from doing this?
If I had food easily available everynight would this make him less lilely to dig?
I could try making a large bed of sand...

If this don't work does anyone close to Harrow want a Bristlenose catfish???
I just cant have him otherwise

Make your tank more catfish friendly?

If it's only in there till the new tank is set up, which i presume he'll be going into, will it really matter for the short term, then you can have your nice planted tank back...what is going in the planted tank?

fish wise in the tank?
small fish tetras etc.... and some otoconluses

My bristle nose is going to have to be permanent as the new tank is having read eared sliders (turtles)

If I have no choice i'll keep him. or even set up a 3rd tank but I dont really have the room tbh

Hi Shoc,

I think Julz was referring more to decor. Bristlenoses will greatly appreciate some bogwood and maybe some terracotta pots or coconut caves to hide in. Also, keep him well fed and he shouldn't dig so much.

Cheers :good:
