I WANT ALGAE!

Yes, i want algae.

Well i have never been able to seem to get algae, and i think it may be the reason my b-nose died a while back*couple months*.

Well i have a 40 gallon tall tank.
20 watts of sun glo light.
Somewat heavy planting.

I was woundering if the plants are the reason for no algae?

oh yeah lights are on for 12+ hrs a day.

careful of what you're wishing for
But if you really want it, you need to up the light to over 100 watt, trim down the heavy plant, dont change the water for about 1 month, and overfeed your fish terribly

Well, there are better ways than that. One of the easiest ways is to get several smooth pebbles, put them in a container of water and keep them out in the sun for a while. In a few days, there will be algae there all for ya
