algae wafers

they seem to eat anything i put in there, what else can i try?

Also i wanna put some live food in there whats best?

not an expert on barbs (never kept them) but i feed my tetras shelled peas you could try that up to you

luke

they will eat any live food, mine have ate daphnia and bloodworm they also ate some mayfly larvae that made its way into the tank :good:

not sure of what they are, very small about 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch

almost clear?

sorry rubbish description!! they are £2 a bag if it helps???

hmmmm i was expecting brine shrimp but that sounds too big.

without knowing the specific breeds it can be a bit hard to tell, but if they're only £2 a bag just give it a try

thanks thats what i thought, if they dont eat them and they survive...leave them in?? or take em out?!?

if you like them in there and they survive and everything else is fine, then leave them in if you wish, its up to you :)

p.s fish crazy yey

just to let everyone no that barbs eat shrimp and love them!!!

our barbs love peas- put a few frozen garden peas in a small dish of water, zap them in the microwave for around 30 secs when cool pop the peas out of their outer skins much them up & chuck them in your tank!
ours also love any catfish tablets esp hikari & also king british tablet treats & hikari micro pellets.

my barbs mainly like frozen plankton and fish flakes... I've tried freeze dried, but they seem to like frozen foods ALOT more

I've given my fish banana a few times before, and I give them things like salmon and tuna every now and then :good: .
I also give them a little bread sometimes, their eating a bit of bagel right now  .
Buy them some more frozen food, my fish get daphnia, mysis shrimp (everyone's favourite), bloodworm, white mosquito larvae and brine shrimp.
Peas are good (though my angelfish doesn't eat these).
Tomato (take all the skin off), any shellfish and crushed snails (I hate doing that, but why let good snails go to waste?).

I like to give my fish a variety. But watch out, you can spoil them - my angel fish wont accept flakes any more. The only prepared food he'll eat is betta pellets...
