I was working on my guppie tank last night. (The one with the snail problem) I was observing my pregs when i noticed somthing very interesting. My peach and red female who is somewhat see-through and very pregnant. Right abouve her anal fins by where the gravid spot appears, I can see her eggs inside of her. I think its just becouse of her color, but i thought this was amazing. I counted 13 eggs. Now if only i can find out how far along she is by observing this spot. Has anybody else noticed this?

That is amazing, and I have never seen it. Congrats!

well I've breed 100's of livebearers over the last 20 years and i gotta say that I've never seen that.

see if u can get a pic ;)

I can see the eggs on my gold twin bar platies.. and Ive actually gotten to perfect the day she will have them by watching the "black dots" near her anal area.. when one is really close, its not too long before she has them, usually that day, or she already started birthing. And I count them as well and have had good results in my guesses, at first it was around 8 fry, now its around 20 fry (I dont count anymore, I just let her do her thing)

Iv been trying helter. Unfortunatly the eggs are so small they wont come out in the pic :/ But they are getting more and more apparent as time goes on. My girlfreind thinks its the sweetes thing in the world  should i post up pics anyways? She is one of the most common color guppies, maybe it will help other people. Ill do my best to get pics tommarow. I need a nice digital though. Thanks for the feed back fellas!

Well the only thing I must say I've seen is my Platy give "birth". I happen to walk past the tank and stop to look at her and saw two what looked like "poo" shoot out of her and then swim away. I was extatic to see it. Never seen it since though...
