I bought a balloon molly today, one of the biggest I've ever seen. When she was in the bag getting climatized to my tank, I noticed these small round things in the bottom of the bag. They weren't there when I first got the fish, but she seemed to be fretting a little.

A little bit later, I noticed these eggs? I know they are livebearers, and don't know what these are, and what to do with them.

Any help?

they might be eggs that where either unfertilized [99% unlikely] or she aborted due to stress [85% likely] or some other cause.

I guess there is no point keeping them. They won't hatch without being inside the mother will they?

They will not hatch if they came from a female molly. Do you have anything else in the tank that might actually lay eggs?

No, I just got her home from the store. She went into a quarantine tank with 2 male guppies and the molly fry. My fry are only about 2 weeks old, so it is not from them either. The eggs are about half the size of my fry.

Tank at the store had other females that the males were bothering. They were soon going to give birth by the way the males were acting.
