I've seen the symptoms before and lost all of them..... This fella is rather special to me and I'd really like to save him if at all possible....

My 9yr old Black Angel is "Fluttering"..... he sits at the bottom of the tank waving his fins as if he is fanning eggs..... When I feed, he comes to the surface, takes on or two bites, and then sinks to the bottom again.

Bearing in mind that I do not have access to prepared medication,...... what can I get from my local chemist to help this condition, and what is the prognosis???.....

I'll appreciate any help.

dunno whats up with him or how to help sorry but 9 years is a long time though hope you get him sorted :\ always killer had a shubunkin which started out in my 10 gal as a kid ended up in my dads pond, died few years back pretty sure it woulda won an award for its size or something, sometimes can just be old age tho i guess no way of getting away from it

Hmm. That's sad Ludwig. I can't imagine it being an internal parasite, but I guess there is no real harm in treating if possible. Considering his age, it really might just be old age. Tolak is someone who has more knowledge on angels than anyone I've ever met, so I'm sure he might at least be able to give you an idea of what's wrong if not a solution.
