I have a dwarf neon rainbow with only 1 spot that looks like a white grain on his fin only 1 though all the other fish are fine 100% none of the others have visible markings i have only just noticed it about 10 mins ago hes acting perfectly fine no rubbing or flickering but i was wondering what i should do i have treatments with me that i keep for emergencies it may not be ich but im just worried

I have king British formula WS3 for ich it says 1 ml for every 90l of water my tank is 110l should i dose a little less than half a ml just to be on the safe side so i dont have a out break of ich

Water stats

ammonia 0

nitrite 0

nitrate 5

ph 7

temp 26 degrees

Thanks

Commercial solutions can often be harmful and crash your cycle. When I got ich when my tank was first starting out I used salt as a treatment. Go to the nearest grocery store and pick up KOSHER salt. Many table salts are not suitable because the contain harmful particles but kosher salt will work. I added 1 table spoon of salt for every gallon of water in the tank in a mixing bin so it can dissolve before adding it to the tank. Just do this regularily as you change the water (more frequently if the ich breaks out) and simply stop the treatment I'd say a week after the final signs of ich have vanished. I don't have much experience with rainbow fish but check up on wether or not your fish can handle salt. Good luck.
