I Think I Have An Eggy Kuhli Loach

I noticed over the past few days or so that one of my kuhlis started getting quite fat. They all have access to the same foods but this one is particularly fat. I've been doing a bit of reading and have read the phrase

When breeding, the females often become monstrously fat and their greenish ovaries can be seen through the skin before spawning

So far I wouldn't say it's 'monstrously' fat. But it was fat enough to get me slightly worried. It is around the right age though (18-24months) and the bulge is evenly distrubuted down the body on either side. Aswell as that it's not breathing rapidly or anything else to suggest illness

I have my fingers crossed but don't plan to do anything special. Will just see how things progress.

Here is a picture, I copied it to draw a line on to show just how fat it is in comparison to my others. There is only one other in the photo but it's a good example of the shape of the rest.

Thats awesome I've been looking at kuhli/coolie loaches. They look really interesting. What do you think of them?
